The 2008 Wellington Seminar is days away and as is customary follows on from the Board's July meeting. Involving a series of meetings with Ministers, Members of Parliament and personnel working in areas the Association is focussing its attention, these will occur throughout Monday 21 and Tuesday 22 July. The two-day event will culminate with an information function at Parliament, hosted by Hon Ruth Dyson, Minister for Disability Issues. During the parliamentary function on Tuesday afternoon the Association launched its register of issues entitled "THE GREAT BARRIER BRIEF". These are indicative of the barriers faced by blind and vision impaired people and highlight areas in which the Association is working to make a difference.
